Behind the scenes on Brum v Villa derby day

An interesting 17 min documentary on a recent Brum v Villa derby.

Idiot football fans still abound and the police seem strangely clueless.

POTY

Is Jack Robinson fast becoming POTY?

"And here's to you Mr Robinson; Rangers love you more than you will know, whoa whoa whoa."

Re: Mr Goss keeping options open

Maybe if our forwards were able to hold the ball up and create space they'd get more goals. At the moment you're effectively asking them to create their own chances and regularly rifle the ball in the net from 20 yards through a crowd of players or weave through a congested penalty area. I agree Lu...

Indeed, and I hope we'll be singing a song for Jack; "And here's to you Mr Robinson, Rangers love you more than you will know, whoa oh oh."

Re: Brum highlights

...an electric one? Really, mate? Uncalled for. Don't be a git - enjoy the win. Sorry Virginia, I actually have an awful lot of time for Ollie, it was more a sideways comment on some of the "Ollie must go" stylee comments I've been reading. He's not the messiah, but he gives a shit, and in the abse...

Re: Mr Goss keeping options open

Just going back to whether our central midfield trio is any good, I do think they're good and certainly the best bit of our team. However, they're far from what's needed. As we all know they lack goals - Freeman 3 and Luongo 1 this season. They also lack physical presence; simply they're not big eno...

Re: Apparantly we are close to breaking FFP again

Whatever spin you want to put on it our current possible problem with FFP seems to be due to salaries. We are contracted to pay Caulker up to July 2018 something we cannot get out of. So we may be punished for agreeing to the contract in July 2014. It would appear the consequence of FFP is basicall...

Re: Three managerial suggestions

How many more points do you think we would have right now if pep or jose were incharge. It's a serious question I'd be interested in your answer to your own question. It crossed my mind a while back & I thought it wouldn't make a lot of difference we are what we are. But on second thoughts I think ...

Re: Apparantly we are close to breaking FFP again

The fine that we are already threatened with relates to overspending in our promotion season of 2013-14. Caulker was signed after that, so we wouldn't be being punished twice for the same offence. In any case, it would be a transfer embargo rather than a fine. Whatever spin you want to put on it ou...

Re: Apparantly we are close to breaking FFP again

It appears the issue is mainly a salaries one so Caulker's departure is obviously the key as he'll be getting one of, if not the highest whack of any player. I've no idea what Nbakoto and Sylla are on but perhaps their departures are more about not being in favour with Ollie and getting something f...

Re: Three managerial suggestions

Well I didn't expect this thread would spark off verbal fisticuffs. I was genuinley interested in people's views on potential replacement managers, but we're all too fed up with QPR aren't we?

I know the feeling.

Cheer up. It'll be Christmas soon.

Three managerial suggestions

Many on here feel Ollie should be replaced. Who might that be? And the challenges of zero available transfer funds, a £40m FFP fine hanging over the club and a squad that currently has worrying deficiencies are real considerations. Here are three suggestions: Chris Powell. Out of work for past two y...
