Alex Smithies

Post by ZENITH R » Wed Jan 15, 2020 9:12 pm

Might be available .... Currently playing at Carlisle in the cup - Cardiff winning 3-4. But Alex has let in 3 goals to League 2 (Div 4 in old money) opposition.

More than any other position on the pitch, a goalkeeper needs to be playing first team football. Unless they were worldies or flukes, I guess Alex is just a little rusty.

I really doubt he's available. If anything it's the other Cardiff keeper who's available (don't recall his name).

Yeah the manager pretty much said Etheridge would be sold and Smithies was now their Number One.

It was a tongue in cheek comment.
