Seems a good player: would be great if he scored against Leeds in two days' time. I bet he wouldn't celebrate though!

The prospect of Shankland worries me as the Scottish Championship is league 2, maybe lower league 1 standard. He may have scored a hatful of goals but I've read he doesn't contribute too much to overall play. He just doesn't strike me as a Warburton type player.

He's 24, so maybe with some coaching he'll turn into a Warburton type player.

Yep, good point. That's something we're beginning to do quite well.

Over the years, the best teams have been a real mix and match of styles - this lad might just bring something different to the team.

You can only score against the teams you play against. I don't know if he's a Warburton player or not, but if we were signing someone from, say, Lincoln, who had scored 72 goals in 80 appearances, I would be fairly happy about that.
