I think Richard Dunne was our last Irish international?
Olamide Shodipo?
Sorry, I meant full international. Masterson is in the current U21 set up

He’s been brilliant this season, but yesterday he was on another level altogether.

Should be starting there for ROI for me. We’ll struggle to keep hold of him if he continues playing like this.

Albeit only a loan but Mark Kennedy also played for ROI.

He was a serious talent.

Who does start there?

Tbf, he's only been a regular LB for a couple of months and a lot of that at wing-back, probably not in his interests to get chucked in too early. Exciting development for the club though.

Enda Stevens of Sheff Utd has been first choice for the last year or so. Don't see Manning dislodging him, but as n22 said above, he can't be far off a place in the squad.

Yes - I agree. Stevens, as a PL starter, will be hard to dislodge on Mick McCarthy's ROI team but hopefully Manning can get into the squad soon based on his great form for QPR.
The other current Irish QPR players are Masterson/Shodipo (ROI) and loaned-out Paul Smyth (who has a couple of full caps with Norn Iron).
Masterson is currently CB on the ROI U-21 first team and they are playing Italy in a home Euro U-21 Qualifier on Thurs night ...He'll be marking the likes of Moise Kean and it will be interesting to see how he gets on

...well, that because you are thinking of Manning exclusively as a LB, whereas he played in the ROI U23 as a LM....the role
where he grew as a professional player.....Manning is a sort of "joker" on the left side, able to cover more positions

He a definite starter? Is the game likely to be on TV anywhere?

Yes - Masterson should start - he's been talked up a lot by the Irish U-21 manager, Stephen Kenny.

The U-21 game is being shown live in Ireland on EIR Sport 1 channel.
I use Mobdro which is a handy free streaming app that only works on Android mobile (not available on Apple IOS!). It can stream loads of live streams from TV channels around the world. Sometimes it's hit and miss as some channels pop in and out. But it's free...
