It's not the despair that will kill you, it's the hope.

Very sad news. Condolences to his family. 49?? Far, far too young.

We're so used to people living well into their eighties that it comes as a shock when someone goes so tragically early. I had two mates who died of heart attacks in their thirties. RIP Justin.

My friend and his daughter (who has Downs Syndrome) got to know Justin when he was manager of Rushden & Diamonds. In April we went to watch Orient play Wrexham, and Justin waved and said Hi to them as I sat back in the stand. He came across as a really nice guy, and I am so shocked.

49! FFS, that is no age.

My friend is really down and his daughter is distraught. She was on close terms with Dale Roberts the R&D goalkeeper too - they used to text each other, and when Dale committed suicide in 2010 (google Dale Roberts to see the circumstances) she was inconsolable.

Her two biggest footballing heroes both gone far too young.

Rest In Peace Justin.

Very sad news. Clearly a vert well respected man.

Would be very interested to know if he had a heart condition or whether circumstances brought it on.
Come on you Sooopa ........

Couldn't stand him as a player, but this is terribly sad. He seemed to have carved out a good career for himself as a manager in the lower leagues, and judging by the reaction on social media, was widely respected and loved. 49 is just too young. RIP.
