Naming Rights For Loftus Road... Official

A really nice gesture by QPR. Would have thought the Kiyan Prince Foundation would be the obvious choice?

Yes, I saw that too, bloody well done QPR! A really good idea and a brilliant bit of PR.

Either suggestion would be good, although with the focus on knife crime and youth violence these days I could see the Kiyan Prince Foundation having a very good chance.

It's been suggested it's also a good look to help warm the council to our LC stadium deal.

What exactly does this mean? Are we now going to get some bland, generic sponsor named stadium?

Yes, I was thinking that. I've always thought the SA Rd stand should be called the Stanley Bowles stand.

I know I'm termed as hyper critical on here, but off the pitch I have to say the club
have gotten their act together, this is just another big plus as far as I'm concerned.

The stand can still be called that. The stadium will have a new name. That's my understanding.

Better to be called after a local charity than something awful like the Bet365 Better Odds Stadium.

It’s for one season only I believe. How about an Altzheimers charity for Stanley?

This is all lovely and heartwarming and that but what good does it do us. We need all the revenue we can get so might as well sell it to the highest bidder.

The only deal I can find at a similar level is Huddersfield, who received £300k in 2012. In the Premier League with a big shiny ground, naming rights are worth millions but I'm not sure the peeling paint and faint aroma of urine we have at Loftus Road will be as attractive.

The goodwill we get from the council will hopefully at least offset the lost revenue.
