Dead Poets Society...

Post by Andy_N19 » Tue Mar 26, 2019 11:22 pm

Ranking Roger from The Beat passing away today.
Blimey, seems like my youth is being obliterated before me eyes.
Hopefully here for him and other greats joining the great gig in the sky.

Rest in Peace Roger.

I know what you mean Andy. As I hurtle towards the big six o so many those forming a part of our lives are passing on along with family and friends. I didn't sign up for this getting old lark.

It's not the despair that will kill you, it's the hope.

Well, half of them, the other half stood by their tenet :-)

I'm amazed that one of my early musical heroes, Jerry Lee Lewis is still with us. I wonder if these guys are really the hellraisers they were made out to be. For example, it's hard to believe Keef Richards has been downing two bottles of Jack Daniels a day for 50 odd years plus all the drugs and lives to tell the tale.

In Jerry Lee's case he probably didn't do drugs. There is also an element of luck of course and boy has Keef been lucky.

Wasn’t Keith Richards rep a little bit oof a public persona? He gave up drinking some time ago and was primarily about the music.
