A very old R has passed away

Post by santadog » Sun Jan 13, 2019 7:26 am

It is with great sadness I have to report that my Dad Bern Amott passed away yesterday aged 92.
Dad was born in Galloway Road and started going to the Rangers in the early 30’s with his older brothers.
Dad took me to my first game in 1969 and I loved it and in 1972 bought us our first season tickets, this year is my 40th and I have passed the love of the R’s onto my son.
Even when Dad was really ill, as soon as I saw him one of the first questions was how did Rangers get on?
So we’ve lost an amazing Dad, Grandad and Great Grandad, I’ve lost my best friend and QPR fan.
