FA Youth Cup

Post by Esox Lucius » Mon Dec 03, 2018 9:47 pm

Cracking game tonight, we were 1-0 down after 90 minutes but won 3-2 in extra time :D Some very nice football being played by both sides but 120 minutes of football for U18's meant a lot of cramp and 7 minutes of additional time at the end of the second 15 minutes which must be some kind of record.

I saw most of the second half and extra time.

Brooks, right midfield, looked good as did De Silva on the opposite flank when he came on. Carlyle, who played at CB but moved into CM, scored the winner and looked an assured Cameron type of player.

The other CB, Gubbins, is the one to watch. Seen him play before and he's impressed me. A little strangely he's the U18s leading scorer so far this season.

Paul Furlong and his team are doing a fine job with these lads.

The U18's have a 100% winning record at Loftus Road. :D
