EBERECHI EZE : has anyone EVER seen him challenge a 50/50 ball?

Post by Don Gibbons » Sat Oct 06, 2018 8:21 pm

.
Before today's 90 minutes, I'd say no

But today, he came close in the 2nd Half

Hopefully the England U20 Call-up will fire his enthusiam

As Mc_Claren said post-match "we hope he gets better as a player... which we know he can"

How he gets the nod before Pav and BOS is a mystery worthy of Edgar Wallace. Same with Cousins.

Eze was a cut above today in the way he retained possession and passed the ball, but congratulations on finding something to shit-can him for.

Yes, let's focus on what he can't do, rather than what he can

Eze is the biggest talent since .... well I can’t really think of who !

A raw talent, who still has a lot to learn

Let’s enjoy and support this special gem

Can't moan about getting beat... can't moan about the tactics... I know, I'll moan about a 19 year old who is breaking through this season. He doesn't head the ball much either; perhaps we can boo him each game until he learns to tackle like Mass and head like Leistner? wander off with your whinging.

Strange, focusing on the negative😳

Still nowhere near the finished article. Last interview that I watched with SMac, he was trying very hard to keep his feet on the ground. Obvious talent but he’s only a pup.

Let’s give him at least two years before we start calling him a lazy b’stard etc

Glen Hoddle didn't either ... it didn't stop him from having a pretty decent career though.

Whats more annoying is the fact the Lumley hasn't scored any goals yet this season. I have no idea why he is in goal ahead of someone like ..Hemed, or Cameron who got his first goal yesterday

Like Wells he needs to find an end product. Then they can both be rightly lauded for their talent and displays. Could be bright future :D

Eze's doing quite well. No other teams that we have played have had a better 19 year old (I don't think). And he played better than Mason Mount yesterday so he can't be doing too bad.

I was impresed with Jack Mariott though. Didn't we try and get him from Peterborough ?
Come on you Sooopa ........

Small point of order. Eze is 20 years old.

Kevin McLeod, now there was a player not keen on a 50/50 challenge. :D

That's not really a criticism either, it's a part of someone's personality you have to accept.

Didn't hear anyone ever moan about Adel's heading ability.
