''Educating'' your spouse well

Post by Wegerle » Sun Sep 16, 2018 4:09 pm

I am turning 50 this week and was dreading some kind of surprise party. Instead my spouse has treated me to a surprise trip to London (from The Netherlands) to watch us against Millwall and Norwich! Well after all those years she certainly still knows what makes me tick! :D

I forwarded this thread to my wife. Hopefully she gets the gist (although it wasn't in Spanish!). Have a great time.

Hhhhhmmmm

our record in putting on a good how for supporters from abroad isn't good thus far

the poor Finnish guy who came over for the WBA and Bristol games   be careful what you wish for Wergle.

Ironically, I'm in Holland this week to miss the Millwall game.....

I know Millwall can be an intimidating bunch, but I think leaving the country to avoid them is taking things a bit far

Thank you all for the kind wishes. With our current form surely a minimum of 4 points should be achieveable?

For those fleeing the country for the Millwall game: I'll take your place and stand firm; behind police lines that is!

Yes, it's a shame you can't say "Nancy-Boy" as per Dads Army nowadays, but yes, I do feel a little bit yellow.

I'll be listening from under my bedsheets...!!

I well remember listening to a game in Holland the year we got promotion under Neil W, imagining the atmosphere, noises, freezing cold, smelly onions on the way to the game. Almost romantic :D
