Re: FFP my @rse...
So, fingers crossed they get relegated next year!
Newcastle are media darlings with their passionate and loyal fans (how many were at St James' Park for games before Keegan arrived to manage them the first time). The FL will need to royally shaft them to be fair and equible. I know we haven't been shafted yet, but only because we appealed.
Mind you, expect Newcastle to cut a deal in the same way Leicester did if they look in any danger of being relegated. Something, I believe we were not offered when we were in the Premiership and awash with cash.
Tch.

Re: FFP my @rse...
How can two leagues that are connected by relegation and promotion have different financial regulations. Makes a complete mockery of FFP

Have a look at the Premier League payments this year:

Insane that relegated clubs get circa 100m + parachute payments.

Re: FFP my @rse...
The facility fees quite pointedly demonstrate why having a decent new stadium is on the agenda. Look at Burnley's payment compared to Newcastles. The fact that second place received more than the Champions is risible.

Facility Fee's are actually associated with the UK Live games - not the stadiumsEsox Lucius wrote: ↑Fri May 18, 2018 7:20 pmThe facility fees quite pointedly demonstrate why having a decent new stadium is on the agenda. Crazy! But all good ammunition for our 33rd appeal against our FFP fine.

LOL, facility fees are unrelated to stadium size.Esox Lucius wrote: ↑Fri May 18, 2018 7:20 pmThe facility fees quite pointedly demonstrate why having a decent new stadium is on the agenda. Yet you have 'faith' in a bigger stadium, so you'll twist every piece of data to fit your 'faith'.

I apologise, I misunderstood the facilities fee, mea culpa. I am still in favour of a new stadium though.

Burnley getting c.£120m for finishing 7th is amazing. Credit to them.

Re: FFP my @rse...
This demonstrates the gambles taken to get the clubs noses in the trough... having said that, NUFC were comfortably the best team in the league that season so £110m+ on wages is all we need to get promoted

Forest are to spend£13.6 m on Carvalho. Doubling their previous record bid.

Re: FFP my @rse...
They could be a real force if their youngsters continue their progression. Villa too. And Boro.
Not sure who Forest have got at the back though. Not sure they are so strong back there.
Villa and Boro to go up automatically for me next season if they play their cards right.

I’ll bet you my house Mrs & Daughter that Villa don’t go up, VILLA will be lucky not to get relegated.old pauline wrote: ↑Wed Jun 13, 2018 3:10 pmThey could be a real force if their youngsters continue their progression. Villa too. And Boro.

Are you aware of how seriously they are in trouble, they could be the next Pompey if things don’t get sorted out.
They put there lively hood on the club going straight back up & it backfired.
They are in serious financial trouble.

Re: FFP my @rse...
But FFP is not a cap of spending but a cap on losses. So if they have got it to spend without exceeding the debt limit then they don't break FFP. That is why FFP is the finish of any dreams we might have or the end of LR and the urgent need for a new stadium. Unless of course we gamble a second time in getting to the premier League.
