With FFP we cant reinvest more than a pittance. My understanding is we need £3m to comply with FFP so unlikely we will be releasing any real funds for transfers.

£3m, + another £3m when he's played 1,000 games for them, + another £3m when he scores his 500th goal for them, and a final £3m when he discovers a cure for the common cold

Hope he enjoys his season in the Prem and gets a few games ,nailed on for relegation but a good bit of cash in back pocket then look for new club next year , not really a great football move for him .

And another year of toiling away in the lower reaches of the Championship would be ?arrystottle wrote: ↑Tue Jul 02, 2019 11:17 amHope he enjoys his season in the Prem and gets a few games ,nailed on for relegation but a good bit of cash in back pocket then look for new club next year , not really a great football move for him .
I'm pleased for him. He's been brilliant for us and has earned his chance to play at the top level.

The usual hardball QPR negotiations then.

Widely reported we rejected an offer of four million so I would not believe any of the figures being quoted.

Best of luck in the Premier League to him: its been a pleasure watching him play for QPR. His performance against Leeds was one of the best I've seen.

Re: Luke Freeman
So it broke the blades transfer record of 4m so that’s good to know & Rav Morrison is training with them, wow Freeman and Morrison in the same XI that would be fun.

Re: Luke Freeman
Sheffield United fans saying on facebook it was a club record fee and their previous record was £5.4m for Beattie.
So maybe a bit better then. Hopefully Eze will step up a few gears now and do what Freeman has done for us.
Freeman deserves the chance to play in the prem as did Austin and Smithies, so I hope he fairs better than those two.

Re: Luke Freeman
It broke the blades transfer record but is undisclosed so it could be £1 or 10m more than they paid for 4m Egan or
5-6m Beattie depending on what source you read.

Re: Luke Freeman
Good bit of business for us given how little he cost us initially and the impact he had for the club.
Sad to see him go, but he certainly deserves a shot at the bigger stage.
