I remember how thrilled we all were a year ago when we signed Wszolek on a permanent deal but his form this season has been disappointing. Hopefully he can turn it around and Legia Warsaw can take Borysiuk.

I see Remy is available again. :D

Think we have the personnel to be flexible between say a 4-3-3 or 3-5-2.

Bidwell is not the ideal wing back but would slot in a left back in a back four- Furlong at right back and the midfield three with say Bright Osayi-Samuel one side of the striker and Pawel or Wheeler on the other side.

Think Furlong is the best bet at right wing back if we go 3-5-2.

Surely that would give us a Plan A and B or am I missing a trick here?
With respect, I think you're missing the whole picture. Bidwell and Furlong are NOT - and never will be - wing backs. Neither is Cousins (though I'm starting to forget what he is, and perhaps he is too).

Mother of God, we should be playing with full backs and wingers - end of.

If true I can see it happening, although we should at least get our money back if we do sell him. He cost £1.25m plus add ons up to £1.4m when we bought him from Charlton a year and a half ago. He's got contact with us until 2019.

Cousins is too injury prone imho and I would take £1m if it is on the table.cant see what he gives us apart from 1 less spare table in the treatment room

I agree that Bidwell would never make a wing back all day long but, Furs has some of the right attributes to make a decent player in that role in we needed him to.

Cousins is a very good central midfielder. Unfortunately we have an idiot manager who insists on playing him as a wing back.

I'd imagine his stock to be much lower now than it was then. I think there's a decent player there and i'd rather wait until the summer as he seems the most likely replacement for Luongo, who i could see leaving.

Can’t argue with that.

I can defend Ollie for a lot & forgive him for a lot but Cousins at wingback is baffling!

Fulham are eyeing QPR’s £4million-rated midfielder Luke Freeman as a replacement for Scotland international Tom Cairney if he leaves Craven Cottage this week. Cairney is attracting interest from West Ham and West Brom and although Fulham are reluctant to lose their £15million skipper, they have drawn up contingency plans in case they receive an offer which they can’t refuse.

Freeman has been a virtual ever-present for QPR this season, making 30 appearances, scoring three goals and providing 10 assists.Rangers will be equally loathed to lose one of their star men, as they attempt to avoid being pulled into the Championship relegation battle.

Cairney meanwhile, having missed the start of the season with a knee problem, has been central to Fulham's climb into Championship play-off contention. However he was not in the squad for their 3-1 win at Barnsley on Saturday, leading to further speculation about his future.

Not sure Cairney is 4 times better than Freeman.

Freeman is a lower league journeyman who cost £300k, to get £4m would be tremendous business, as much as I've enjoyed his contribution he may never have another 12 months as good as this.

Cairney cost Fulham £3m, his stats this season aren't as good as he's played around half as many games. From what I've seen, Cairney is the more likely to single-handedly take control of a game.

Besides, if we got good money for Freeman we could buy a striker and start playing some of our many wingers in their proper position.

In today's market, Freeman is an £8m player at the very least.
