Re: General Election
Corbyn conned the young, he held rallies in safe seats which was questioned by reporters, Corbyn gave some old blarney when asked, this seat is yours already, so why campaign here, they never got it but i did straight away, the pictures were beamed through the news making it look like thousands were joining this new movement when it was the same old tired old socialists, he never fooled me, but if he makes power this country will suffer big time..............

They'd have to get up pretty early in the morning to catch you out, eh Bill. Maybe even stay up all night.William wrote: ↑Mon Jun 12, 2017 12:12 pmCorbyn conned the young, he held rallies in safe seats which was questioned by reporters, Corbyn gave some old blarney when asked, this seat is yours already, so why campaign here, they never got it but i did straight away, the pictures were beamed through the news making it look like thousands were joining this new movement when it was the same old tired old socialists, he never fooled me, but if he makes power this country will suffer big time..............
Labour membership numbers have been steadily increasing since Corbyn became leader, but it's probably just the same old socialists, so tired that they've forgotten they're already signed up.
This wouldn't happen in Norway.
Are headphones getting bigger, or are idiots getting smaller ?

Re: General Election
Only 150,000 have joined the Labour party since polling day. Very poor show.
EDIT: After posting this, I have read the figure which has been widely reported, is "not recognised" by Corbyn's office. Instead they said the figure is 15,000.

You are aware Labour lost and the Conservatives are in power, Labour something like 70 seats behind...............Esox Lucius wrote: ↑Mon Jun 12, 2017 1:50 pmWilliam wrote: ↑Mon Jun 12, 2017 12:12 pmCorbyn conned the young, he held rallies in safe seats which was questioned by reporters, Corbyn gave some old blarney when asked, this seat is yours already, so why campaign here, they never got it but i did straight away, the pictures were beamed through the news making it look like thousands were joining this new movement when it was the same old tired old socialists, he never fooled me, but if he makes power this country will suffer big time..............![]()

They are only scathing on the Tories because they lost. We hear different things I suppose.SheepRanger wrote: ↑Mon Jun 12, 2017 8:55 amI've listened to LBC a fair bit over the last few weeks and although they are criticised as favouring the Tories I've found little evidence of it. All presenters play devils advocate and they have been scathing about the Tories in the latter stages of the election, mainly because May refused to be interviewed, the dementia tax and U turns. I think their questions on the Labour manifesto and budget numbers were fair game and was justified based on the weak responses.

PS - They didn't lose, they just didn't do as well as expected.

Re: General Election
They lost the majority they had before the election. Hence getting into bed with Satan's spawn.

Re: General Election
I've been discussing/arguing the toss as to whether the Tories won the election or not. I maintain that nobody won, so everybody lost including the Tories. They are having to do a deal with, frankly, a bunch of bigots with past links to terrorists organisations in order to keep themselves in power. An embarrassing if not downright shameful act of politicking.

Re: General Election
If you think he has had links then you must concede that May has links - no, not links - is actually getting into bed with them today. And not only so. By doing this she's showing what an absolute hypocrite she is after her and her party have lambasted Corbyn for doing much less in the past.William wrote: ↑Fri Jun 16, 2017 9:11 amWheras your man Corbyn has no links to terrorists......................dm wrote: ↑Thu Jun 15, 2017 4:36 pmI've been discussing/arguing the toss as to whether the Tories won the election or not. Again, it's downright shameful.

Re: General Election
DUP are a fully engaged party in Parliament, whereas Sinn Fein do not even take up their seats which shows their contempt.dm wrote: ↑Fri Jun 16, 2017 11:53 amIf you think he has had links then you must concede that May has links - no, not links - is actually getting into bed with them today. Again, it's downright shameful.
However, Corbyn met with the IRA when they were active in a bombing campaign, not just a political party.
