Really, could swear Mrs may has been elected as PM, and that the Tories are the largest party, but hey, what do i know............
The fact that Abbott won 11000 more votes to hold Hackney in a landslide, 42,265 labour votes compared to just 7126 conservatives, proves she's not clueless at all.
And the fact that Mrs May and the Tories are relying on the DUP, a party that strongly opposes same sex marriage and abortion, proves how low they're prepared to stoop to retain some element of power.
Times are changing, people are beginning to see the consequences of Tory policies of austerity and cuts to the NHS, education, social welfare etc.
Expect to continue to see a shift to the left, especially as young people are being galvanised to vote by Corbyn.
But it proves those who voted for her are, as for the youth, we all rebel then get our priorities right, loads of students back in the day had stuff like Malcolm X on their walls, it is for rebellion and shock, that is what is happening here, but if Corbyn got in, they would run for the hills, i remember when trains were still nationalized, THEY WERE CRAP :FACT:.....................
So you're calling a majority of young voters clueless? I'm not even going to deem that worthy of a retort...

Getting the young vote was a triumph for JC and Labour. It will be more difficult to get other demographics to vote for them. They can't lurch too far to the left and alienate theses groups. It's encouraging... but they still have a lot to do. At the end of the day the Tories still hold the reigns of power and it won't be easy to remove them. With a less hostile press and media, Labour would have won more seats - so kudos to them for making a real fight of it.

Just listened to that Tory smart arse Ian Dale on LBC, fully expecting him to admit his prediction of 100 plus Tory majority was wrong and maybe eat a bit of humble. Of course he didn't... more fool me I suppose. What an arrogant tool he is. Hopefully one day soon, the Tories and their voters will get the message that they don't have a divine right to rule us.

To quote the words of one who would be imprisoned (and worse, probably), by the DUP:
"Hi everyone, you've all lived to watch Kensington and Chelsea become a hotbed of socialism, anything is now officially possible!

"
(Although the parliamentary constituency is technically just Kensington)

That was painful...yet Dale seems to love it. Not listening to LBC anymore as they are simply another mouthpiece for the Tory Party.

Huge swings to Labour in saintly west London. I'm summering in deepest Suffolk though which is largely true Tory blue but quite a lot voted Labour here and are surprisingly sympathetic to people suffering economic unfairness. Not all Tories are of the let them eat cake variety.

Used to write for the Express but has described himself as a champagne socialist.

Quite like O'brien, but he is a bit centrist for me. He's the only one on the who is vaguely left of centre-right. Ads do my head in anyway so I was looking for a reason to switch them off.

I've listened to LBC a fair bit over the last few weeks and although they are criticised as favouring the Tories I've found little evidence of it. All presenters play devils advocate and they have been scathing about the Tories in the latter stages of the election, mainly because May refused to be interviewed, the dementia tax and U turns. I think their questions on the Labour manifesto and budget numbers were fair game and was justified based on the weak responses.

It's all about perception I guess. I spoke to a woman yesterday who said the only reason the Tories failed to win handsomely was the newspapers being biased towards Labour !
