Yet another player who we sent off and deemed no good now heading to Watford apparently

I'll give you that one. I think he came through just as Magic Hat was starting to bang them in - which possibly hastened his departure !

Source ?

Mine tell me he's just gone into Intu and signed on the dotted line for some new trainers at JD Sports. You heard it here first.

Did we have Rio Ferdinand on the books as a youth? I think we declined to give Wanchope a deal too but it would be unfair to suggest we've made a habit of releasing talented footballers. Tbh our youth system isn't good enough to get that far. It just feels like another chance to be negative about the club. Especially given Andrade hasn't left BW yet.

At first when I heard it and posted it in the transfer rumour thread two mins before dbak’s Spack  I thought wow what a story but on second thoughts is it really that far fetched.

20 mins between the two clubs, I used to deliver on a regular basis to both grounds, they have a good relationship with development players etc, I believe he’s done pretty well at the Wood, He would have come to Watford’s attention & they have shown an interest, he’s been on a number of clubs radars for a while, if I remember him right he was a quick wide man that catches the eye.

Good luck to him.. how much of a chance he would get at the Hornets though is another question I guess the pound notes will make up for that.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing, I don't recall seeing any hullabaloo over his contact being terminated.

I don't see a whole lot of hullabaloo on either the Boreham Wood or Watford official websites either. I'm getting visions of Peter Odemwingie at the training gates on this one.

Has anyone checked that Odemwingie isn't still sat in the car park?

Worst example of us getting shot of a promising youngster? Tony Currie at the age of 17. Bought him back for 400K 12 years later. Imagine a side with a young Bowles, Francis and Currie in it?

Another good example of one we missed out on is Chris Mepham at Brentford. Bournemouth bidding for him today in the region of £6 million.

Massive QPR fan but we didn’t have a look at him before Brentford took him on
